Style Tips For Small Boobs: 9 Ways to Look Sexy With Small Breasts

Sharing is caring!

If you’re looking for tips on how to make your small breasts look good, how to style them, or even just general reassurance that yes, small breasts are sexy (!), then keep reading 😊.

But first, we need to get this out of the way:

You have to believe that your small breasts are sexy, and beautiful. Once you do, it will be easier for you to help them stand out because you will be doing it with love (not frustration).

Ok well, you don’t have to like them, but they’re there, you got them, so might as well accept them and show them some love and respect.

And also…

No, you do not need to find ways to make your boobs look bigger (please, stop). Yes, small breasts are sexy, and yes, there are men*, many men, in fact, who love them (and so should you!)

Sometimes they just don’t know it (yet), but when faced with the “situation,” most men are more than happy (or aroused, depending on what you’re going for) to look at (or play with) your small breasts.

*I say men because I’ve only ever been in heterosexual relationships, but if you are a queer person, do let us know your opinion in the comments!

More often than not, it was other women who made me feel bad about my small boobs, not men.

I’ve had the words “flat-chested” (or plate, in French) thrown at me so many times in the past, as if it were an insult. Well, that and the fact that I am (was) apparently “too” skinny/thin.

I grew up in a country where curves, big boobs and big butts are the norm; anyone who does not fit that standard is deemed NOT sexy and unattractive.

(Which is completely untrue btw; even though some people “mock” my petite frame, I know there are lots of people who love it. I can tell. They are just less vocal about it. And when you are insecure, it can be easy to believe the haters).

In high school, girls would sit around during recess, comparing their breast size and butt size, and throw condescending looks at my flat chest, non-existent butt and tiny body.

Anyway, my point is: once I realized I was sexy despite my small breasts, or better yet, thanks to my small breast, my attitude changed. And so did my world, my confidence, and, believe it or not, the way people interact with me too.

(I haven’t been called “flat-chested” in a negative way in a while).

  • I’m 35 (and childless), and my very small boobs are still perky(ish) 😊
  • My small frame and small chest have also been called “feminine”, “delicate” and “sexy”. (But yes, I’ve also heard not so nice things as well. My point is, people like all sorts of things. Bottom line is: YOU must like yourself more).
  • My breasts are not a burden: I don’t have to give up certain sports because they are too big, or heavy, or painful; I can sleep on my stomach; jump on a trampoline; go braless 99.99% of the time, etc.
  • Women with bigger breasts often have to worry about being “too sexual” even at a very young age and they often attract unwanted attention (but hey, that can happen with small boobs too).
  • And the best part: did you know that small boobs are more sensitive than bigger breasts? This means more feeling and more fun for us “flat-chested” girls during foreplay!

You’re welcome.

Now that we got this out of the way, let’s talk about outfits and style tips that can help make breasts look good, even if they are on the smaller side.

Keep in mind that this advice stems from my own personal experience, (good and bad) advice I was given, and things I’ve tried, tested, read, or observed in the past years.

Your experience might be different and it’s totally fine.

Also, I’m not a stylist and I don’t pretend to be. I’m simply writing this because I wish I had read something like that when I was 15 years old (or 28). It would have helped me a lot in the self-esteem department.

I just want to help you fall in love with your body, the same way I did after years of feeling “not sexy” or “not womanly” enough.

braless

Go Braless

For the longest time, I wouldn’t go anywhere without a padded, push-up bra. It was hell. I was always trying to make my breasts look bigger, but could never find bras that fit well.

I was always pushing my boobs up, trying to fill that gap between the bra cup and my boob.

You know what I’m talking about, right? 😊

The result: I was always never satisfied with my look, always comparing myself to other girls (with bigger boobs than mine), and generally constantly feeling uncomfortable.

Now, I’ll be honest, I do feel uncomfortable sometimes still to this day, but that’s because my nipples are constantly showing.

But like, constantly.

And although I don’t mind most of the time (I’m self-employed and I no longer have to go to a traditional/conservative office, worry about the dress-code, or not making my male coworkers uncomfortable + I generally adhere to the “if you don’t like it, you can just look away” philosophy), there are still times when I feel like my nipples showing can be… inappropriate.

Like at a funeral for example… or a job interview (although I suppose it depends on the type of job you’re applying for).

I’m curious to know what you guys think…

Anyway.

My point is, small boobs are not unattractive and rather than wear an ill-fitted padded bra that makes you uncomfortable, why not accept your boobs as they are and go bra-less?

Go Braless – Part 2

Let’s suppose you want to be outrageously sexy and flaunt a daring, head-turning cleavage, but feel like you can’t because you don’t have a cleavage. You have cute, barely visible A-cups.

And even though that plunging V-neck is cute on you, it’s not achieving the bold, sexy look you want.

While other women might flaunt a full cleavage, YOU could consider skipping the cleavage altogether and try this instead 👇

It might feel scary at first (and of course, it depends on where you live), but try going braless and showing some nipples.

And, to answer your question: yes. It is sexy as hell.

Plunging Necklines

No, a plunging V-neck is not “just” for B and C-cups.

I avoided V-necks for so long! I absolutely believed that my breasts were too small, that I was too skinny, that it looked ugly/unflattering on me.

But a plunging V-neck (the right plunging V neck) can flatter a small chest and be so sexy.

Don’t forget to complete this style with Tip #5.

Bonus Tip:

Try this with both tight and looser tops as they each create a different effect (see picture above).

A tighter top can often be considered “sexier”, especially in a sheer fabric that highlights your nipples.

On the other hand, a looser fit, particularly in a silky fabric, offers a more delicate and elegant feel (while still being low-key sexy). It’s also a great option if your breasts are less perky or if you have “saggier boobs” and prefer not to draw too much attention to them.

Sweetheart Necklines

Another thing I got wrong: I thought sweetheart necklines didn’t work for smaller breasts, and I avoided them like the plague for most of my life.

Until one day, an adorable salesgirl brought me a top (kinda like that one below) and said, “I know, it’s nothing like what you picked out, but I thought this would look so pretty on you and wondered if you’d consider trying it on”.

Turns out, she was right.

I bought the damn thing and wear it all the time now.

And every time I wear this, I get a lot more stares and side glances.

I wore it once with my boyfriend (when he was still around) and he could not get his eyes (and hands) off me for the whole night.

Of course, there are different types of sweetheart necklines, and you also have to take into account your overall shape (shoulders, hips, etc.), BUT don’t be shy to experiment with styles you thought were not right for small breasts.

You might be in for a lucky surprise.

A Thin, Deep Plunge Necklace

My mom gave me that tip randomly like 2-3 years ago, and it’s one of the best tips on this list 😊

The idea is to use a deep plunge necklace to complement a deep V-neck top.

A thin necklace will subtly draw attention to your décolleté, or you can opt for a bolder look by layering 2-3 statement necklaces. This creates a more “crowded” effect, where the necklaces become a striking part of the outfit, filling (and accentuating) the deep neckline.

Being so tiny, I prefer to go the thin necklace route, just to add a touch of elegance and enhance (or draw attention to 😉) my breasts, without overwhelming my petite frame.

But hey! You do you.

High Neck Top/Halter Neck Top

High neck or halter neck tops are perfect for women with small breasts, especially if you have broad(er) shoulders.

(But don’t worry, you can work on your shoulders, btw. Until not that long ago, I had quite “frail” shoulders and I felt like they made me look almost sickly, especially in this type of top. What I hadn’t realised was that with targeted strength exercises, I could achieve more defined and sculpted shoulders!

So, just a heads up if like me, you think you don’t have the frame to wear something, it might be something you can achieve through exercise).

Spaghetti Strap Tops

Spaghetti strap tops are a great way to highlight tiny breasts, especially when the top has a looser fit.

The thin straps create a more delicate, minimalistic look all the while showcasing your collarbone and shoulders, which can be both casual and sexy.

Low Cut Armhole Tops/Dresses

I LOVE low cut armhole tops or dresses!

Sometimes called drop armhole tops, they show a bit of side cleavage, and this can be very flattering for your small breasts without being overly revealing.

Well, unless you want it to be 😉

They are just awesome! You get to be casual, comfy with just the right touch of sexy and confidence.

Plus, you cannot wear this style when you have bigger boobs, so why not enjoy (and flaunt) your competitive advantage? 😊

Backless Tops/dresses

Want to look sexy with small boobs? How about showing off… your back!

A woman’s back and the back of her neck are such underrated areas, but did you know they are considered extremely sexy and attractive?

open-back dress

And what better way to draw attention away from your chest (especially if you fear your small boobs are not perky enough, which btw does not mean they are not beautiful!), than with an open-back tank top or dress that highlights your back and shoulders?

And the best part? This style creates a sexy and elegant look that often feels more comfortable because you can go braless!

OUTFIT TIPS

I hope I was able to make you see that small breasts are beautiful!

They can be cute, sexy or fun. They embody elegance, lightness and a carefree spirit, and they remind us that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Don’t take you small boobs for granted!

outfit idea

Remember that the styles mentioned above (and many others) are often difficult for women with larger breasts to wear comfortably, so not everyone has it all.

Lastly, try to find brands that cater to small breasts. A couple of years ago I discovered Ysé, a French brand that was initially designed for (and by) smaller cup sizes and, I swear, they have helped me appreciate the beauty of tiny boobs even more 🖤

Maybe you can find shops like this closer to where you live.

So, tell me: do you love your small boobs?
